Elton Taylor
Elton is the owner and founder of Taylor's Driving School. Elton comes from a background in catering where he managed numerous restaurants across the UK. During that time Elton was responsible for training of numerous roles within that industry. In 2013, he decided that he would like to become a driving instructor because of his love of training others, as well as his passion and love for driving and road safety. Elton qualified fully as an instructor in 2014 and started Taylor's driving school in 2016. During the years in between, he has attended several training courses including how to train driving instructors, the B.Tech 4 – coaching for driver education, and numerous other upskilling courses. He holds the highest possible grade for an instructor 51 out of 51! He is also a qualified life coach. Elton has an unquenchable passion for creating safe drivers for life, and as such only offers franchises to instructors that he has personally trained. An intimate understanding of the technical side of driving married with exceptional intuition and coaching skills, Elton has the rare ability to help others realise and remedy their barriers to success – which are more often than not based in their beliefs and emotions, rather than in lack of skills and knowledge. Elton now spends his time training new instructors, a limited number of new drivers, those that have failed their tests numerous times with other instructors, and helping experienced international drivers adapt to, and if required pass their UK driving test. International drivers have now become his speciality, and he teaches drivers from all over the world, focusing on adapting those drivers to the culture and rules of driving in the UK. What makes him a specialist in dealing with these types of drivers his ability to identify and adapt to the individual needs of the international driver and not treat them as if they are new learners with limited skills.
